About Vanessa Romanov

Waste (Pace)

You and I were stuck at a pace

Talking about our salad days

What a damn lie

You and I were stuck like glue

Ain’t that the fucking truth

Darlin’ bye bye

You could turn into a mountain that we all climb on

All this weight you’ve been carrying around

Maybe one day, you’ll find your way

Climbing in and out of your grave

Becoming a disgrace to yourself

Can’t be free like a dove

And slipping away from love

Every night you were crying out loud

And in the morning you would come undone

It’s breaking your heart, you’re falling apart

Don’t lose hope my love

But this is the last one.

Every night your brain would overflow

It’s gonna feel so good to let it all go

But it’s all in your head, your race has run

Don’t give up my love

For it may not be the last one

You are not alone...

Apollo v Aristotle

Apollo v Aristotle

An unconditional battle

Who is more likely to win?

You may say a God but hold up!

Apollo is the God of music and poetry

Who made his lovers fall to their feet

He isn’t as strategic as his counterpart

Aristotle, you say, is just a man

Yes, he is a man, but what a man!

Generations view him as a great teacher

Who invests his time into great leaders

This isn’t a God v Mortal conflict

But the conflict that features in a storyteller’s head

Blue & Green

When Blue met up with Green

The ground turned to teal

Hearts were starting to heal

Hands were waiting to feel

Blue was walking by

When he spotted Green drinking tea in a garden

While sitting in the sun

In the middle of the summer

He said she was beautiful

Like he’s never seen before

And her smile made him stay for a while

In the middle of summer

Everything melted together

Everything was pristine

The day Blue met Green

They were just hanging out

And they fell in love

But they couldn’t be together

So they just stayed friends

Bosnia

Three worlds clashed

To rule a country

War and Famine arose

Despite the poverty

Let’s go and visit Sarajevo.

And watch the bombs explode

Hold my hand as we turn to dust

And I’ll see you on the other side

Let’s all go and meet our maker

Doesn’t matter what you are

If we three cannot live together peacefully

We have at least have to be respectfully

There is still a lot of hostility

And the country is still divided

If there’s one thing that I’ve learned from history

Don’t let a minority be power-hungry
